Rental requirements

America Car Rental requires the following documentation in order to provide the service:

• Minimum age is 21 years old, There is no maximum age limit.

• Credit card issued by a financial institution (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). 

• Identification with photograph (INE in the case of Mexican customers and passport with photo in the case of foreign customers).

• Valid driver's license (National or International) ORIGINAL with photo and full name of the customer, with at least one year of validity and issued more than one month prior. The country of origin does not matter. Digital national driver’s licenses are not accepted.

*If the credit card is not embossed or personalized, the customer must present the banking app showing the cardholder’s name.

In certain circumstances, America Car Rental may request at the counter a proof of address, flight tickets, hotel confirmation, and additional personal or employment documentation for the safety of both the customer and the vehicle.

America Car Rental reserves the right to decline a reservation if the customer does not meet all rental requirements or if any inconsistency is found in the documentation.

Reservations policies

America Car Rental will honor all reservations received, these reservations must cover all rental requirements, if not, we reserve the right to decline a reservation, same as it may be if you notice that the information provided is wrong or has been altered (e.g. altered name, altered price, etc.).

America Car Rental offers its services based on vehicle categories and we will respect the code that our partner sends, it is important to clarify that the images of the vehicles advertised are only illustrative so we will honor the category requested, but not the vehicle of the published illustrative image.

It is important to mention that America Car Rental will have a waiting time of two hours from the pick up time that marks its reservation as long as the customer sends their flight data, It is important to note that if your flight is delayed or delayed, the customer must call or email us to notify us of any change in their pickup schedule.

If you do not have flight information after two hours America Car Rental reserves the right to customer service and will be based on vehicle availability.

After two hours delay, the reservation will be considered a No Show and we may or may not honor your reservation, depending on availability.
